Mindfulness Meditation and Yoga Retreat in Denmark

Meditation, immersion, reflection at the Eriksen Institute, Denmark

This summer retreat will not run in 2020. You are wellcome to contact Helen Eriksen, see below, for information about when the next retreat is going to be held.

Are you in for a summer retreat in Denmark where you get to learn and practice mindfulness meditation and yoga, connect with your inner being, rediscover peace and harmony in your life, re-charge and re-energize and become inspired to live a more healthy life?

Would you like to spend a week in an environment of extraordinary natural beauty, where peace envelops you as you enter the estate grounds, where an air of contemplative peace surrounds you throughout the beautiful historical buildings, offering the peace needed for meditation and immersion, relaxation and reflection, and where you are served healthy, nutritious, detoxifying, tasty food that gives you energy and makes you happy?

Could you do with a week where you totally unwind, meditate, have time to walk, jog and bike, listen to daily inspirational talks on the connections between body, mind and nutrition, enjoy healthy food, kick off your day with yoga exercises, stretching and relaxation – and all in an atmosphere of beauty, graciousness, harmony and under expert guidance?

If your answer is yes, the opportunity is right here waiting for you. You are cordially invited to join us for a Mindfulness and Yoga Retreat, on the Danish island of Funen (conveniently connected by bridge to the mainland). There is space for 10 participants, in spacious double-occupancy rooms.

The course Leader

Psychologist Helen Eriksen, MSc Psych is your course leader. She is an international speaker, author, nutritional adviser and body therapist. She has led meditation and yoga practices, retreats and courses for over 30 years, conducted workshops and offered coaching and advice on leadership development, personal development, self-motivation, wellbeing, stress prevention, the body-mind-nutrition relationships and how we can relate to change in the most constructive way.

Her ground-breaking work in "Holistic Leadership" and "Giving While Growing" has made her a sought-after speaker internationally.

What the participants say:

“Helen Eriksen’s ‘Going Beyond’  yoga and meditation retreats have provided me with all the tools I need to gain personal and spiritual insight and dramatically improve my diet and wellness habits. Her warm, inclusive and accessible teaching and leadership style has allowed me to really understand the how, why and what of meditative practice, in a way I thought was never possible. It has, quite simply, changed my life”.

Mary Farmer, Director, Glion Online Programs, Glion Insitute of Higher Education, Switzerland

I have had an indescribably wonderful and rewarding week – I enjoyed the company of the other participants, and the balance between yoga and mindfulness was just perfect.

Having the opportunity to be a part of your world – your thoroughly open and life-affirming way of being with others, your tremendous knowledge about body and soul helped move me to that place in life where love and joy are found.

Have taken home a precious box that I can pull out anytime, look inside and be reminded about exactly what is most important in my life.

Thank you for your lovely laughter and contagious smile.

Warm greetings and a big hug,

“I have spent a week with Helen on this retreat in Denmark. She is an amazing teacher and a wonderful woman. If you are looking for renewal and fulfillment then treat yourself to this.”

The mindfulness course led by Helen at the beautiful manor house Sandagergard was a life-affirming and ground-breaking experience for me.

From the very first moment, one felt so warmly welcomed. Nothing was left to chance, everything was carefully planned, including teaching, meditation and the many incredibly tasty and delicious meals.

Helen is a highly competent and engaging presenter who conveys a wealth of information about body, diet and mind based on profound insight, warmth and humour. Often spiced up with little anecdotes.

One listens intently and absorbs it all. And one takes notes, keen to capture all her nuggets of wisdom.

One is guided safely and lovingly into the world of meditation. Truly a week that soothed both body and soul.

William Blake’s poem captures the essence of this beautiful experience:

‘To see the world in a grain of sand
and heaven in a wild flower.

To hold the universe in the palm of your hand –
and eternity in an hour.”

Suzette Frydensberg
